Course Policies

By registering for our courses, students agree to the following policies:

 

COURSE SCHEDULING & CANCELLATION POLICY:

Courses are subject to change prior to active registrations, but not when there is at least one student enrolled for the course. We recommend registering as early as possible to ensure that students can take the course on the student’s preferred date and time.
While is it rare, if a course is canceled, we will gladly reschedule the student to another course date or will provide the student with a 100% refund.
Students must register and pay for the course prior to the course date. Registration will be closed 24 hours prior to the course. We currently do not accept walk-ins.
Due to the AHA policy regarding Student to Instructor ratios and our classroom sizes, courses may fill up quickly. We currently do not offer waitlists for our courses.

 

CONFIRMATION EMAIL:

Immediately following student registration, the student will receive a confirmation email containing the receipt and information regarding the course. We strongly recommend the student read through this email for detailed information about the upcoming course.

REFUND POLICY:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL – In-person course fees will NOT be refunded unless a course is canceled and a student chooses not to reschedule. In-person classes are located in Surprise, AZ and Flagstaff, AZ. If a student is located out-of-state and has mistakenly registered for the course, the student will only receive a 50% refund. The student will be refunded any optional materials added on during registration if they have not already been shipped or received. eBooks are not returnable or refundable.
Blended learning courses are not refundable under any circumstances, including, but not limited to, not having appropriate computer equipment/software capable of running the program or intermittent system outages on part of the AHA.
Instructor courses are non-refundable.

 

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

All courses start promptly at the scheduled time.
All students must attend the entire course duration. If a student cannot participate in the entire course, they will be required to take the entire course again.

 

NO-SHOWS POLICY:

Students who no show for the in-person Instructor-Led CPR Courses has up to 7 days to reschedule for our next course. A rescheduling fee of $10 must be paid prior to rescheduling. We will not refund registration fees for no-shows under any circumstance. A student will forfeit the course registration fee if the student does not reschedule within 7 days of the original course and will be required to pay the registration fee again to attend a course.
Students that no-show for the Virtual Instructor Training Course, will be charged a $50 no-show fee. There are no refunds for Instructor Courses, under any circumstance. The student will forfeit the course registration fee if the student does not reschedule the course within 7 days of the original course and will be required to pay the registration fee again to attend a course. CPR Solutions allows students to reschedule the course to the next available Instructor Course date.

 

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY:

CPR Solutions expects students to arrive on time for the course, as we cannot delay our course start time to accommodate late arrivals. We recommend students arrive at least 5 minutes early for our courses. Students that arrive later than 5 minutes after the course starts will be considered a no-show and will not be able to attend the scheduled course. A $10 late rescheduling fee will apply and must be paid prior to rescheduling the course.

 

RESCHEDULING POLICY:

In-Person Instructor-Led CPR Courses
Students are allowed one rescheduling at no additional cost if they contact CPR Solutions at least 72 hours prior to the course start time.
If the student cancels within the 72-hour window before the course starts time, a rescheduling fee of $10 will apply and must be paid prior to rescheduling the course.
Courses must be rescheduled to a course within 30 days of the original course date with a maximum of two reschedules.
Instructor Training
Instructor candidates are allowed one rescheduling at no additional charge if they contact CPR Solutions at least 72 hours prior to the course start time.
The rescheduled course must be scheduled to a course within 60 days of the original course. A second reschedule will result in a $100 rescheduling fee and a 3rd reschedule will result in the student having to re-register and pay for the registration fees in full.
By registering for a course, the student agrees to these terms and conditions. The terms are non-modifiable and non-negotiable once the student’s registration has been processed. The above policy applies to any course registration processed through our system.

 

REQUIRED COURSE MATERIALS:

Students are required to have the most current edition of the American Heart Association Provider Manual for the respective course they have registered for. Students may purchase the required book for the course

  • During course registration
  • At the training classroom (Cash Only)
  • Through other distributors

Students will not be allowed to attend the course without the required book. Book sharing is not permitted; each student will require their own manual copy.
Heartsaver manuals will be provided to all students digitally and the student will receive the eBook via email at least one day prior to the course.
Blended learning (Heartcode) courses already provide digital versions of the book within the online course module.

 

COURSE COMPLETION & PROVIDER CARDS:

Course completion eCards for American Heart Association in-person courses will be issued within 6 hours following the completion of the course requirements at the end of the scheduled course or skills session.
All course completion / Provider eCards are valid for two (2) years.
Instructor eCards will not be issued to the Instructor Certification until the successful completion of the Instructor Monitor and the Instructor Monitor Form has been signed and returned to the Training Center Coordinator.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

 

CPR Solutions Instructor Monitor Scheduling and Cancellation Policy:

Instructor candidates must be monitored teaching their first course within 6 months to receive their AHA instructor certification. Instructor candidates who do not complete their monitored first class within 6 months will be required to pay and reattend the instructor training course before they can receive their AHA instructor certification and alignment.

Instructors are required to schedule their monitored class through a third-party scheduling system provided to them by the Training Center.

Instructor candidates may reschedule or cancel their monitored class at least 72 hours in advance.

Cancellations less than 72 hours of the scheduled monitor will result in a $90 rescheduling fee. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed by the Training Center Coordinator and will be at the discretion of the TCC to waive the fee or not.

Reschedules or cancellations less than 72 hours must be in writing in an email to [email protected].

Monitored classes that are unsuccessful will result in a $90 rescheduling fee and must be paid prior to rescheduling.
